Thinking of moving to UAE? Now could be the perfect time

International recruitment firm Morgan McKinley has published a report stating that job openings for expats in UAE are increasing, with a reported rise of 2% in the first half of 2013 and a 6% rise in new roles becoming available from Q2 2012 and Q2 of 2013.
Recruitment activity in the professional hiring market has increased modestly quarter-on-quarter in Q2 2013 with a rise of 2% from 6,189 jobs to 6,310. Comparing Q2 2013 to the same period last year also shows an increase with new roles rising by 6% from 5,861.
The firm’s UAE managing director Trefor Murphy said: “Our data shows the hiring market in the UAE has turned the corner and is growing again. “Banking and construction are the two markets looking to fill the most roles. Financial services here as seen a real surge in growth. This mostly comes from the need for regulatory and compliance officers as governance becomes stricter.
“The UAE also need architects, surveyors and project managers as the number of projects starts to rise.”
In June this year bayt.com also released numbers that show an improvement in the job market in UAE with more than half of their survey respondents stating that they will be adding to their workforce in the second half of 2013, with 67% of these companies saying that they will be looking to bring in 10 or more new team members.
