The sun, sea, sand and relaxed way of life on offer means Spain will always be a popular destination for those moving overseas.
According to Paul Collins, editor at BuyAssociation, property in the nation has long been popular with Brits, especially lifestyle buyers who have perhaps retired or are looking to cut down their hours.
He added that while economic doom and gloom had a knock on effect on property sales in Spain, some natural fluctuations are to be expected and don’t signify a lack of demand.
“They will always remain strong destinations and they are always places that Brits want to go to and want to buy in, so I don’t expect them to drop off the radar completely,” Mr Collins continued.
Mr Collins’ comments come after research by TheMoveChannel.com highlighted that Spain was the most popular overseas property destination in March, with its share of enquiries rising 4.68 per cent.
America was found to be the second most popular destination for Britons buying property abroad.
