Qantas announces increase in domestic flights
Those moving to Australia will be pleased to hear that Qantas has announced plans to increase capacity on a number of domestic routes.
Qantas, Jetstar and QantasLink routes will all be increased throughout the remainder of this year and into 2013 with bosses hoping that those in the country will be able to travel much more easily.
The airline also stated that a number of aircraft upgrades and additional frequencies are to be made available in order to provide greater choice and convenience for customers.
Qantas chief executive officer Alan Joyce said: “Over recent years we have invested consistently in our domestic operations.
“Our corporate customers and frequent flyers have responded positively. We are now seeing the most consistent levels of high satisfaction in the domestic network since 2004.”
Qantas’ current goal in the domestic market is to retain the 65 per cent share that enables the business to maximise both yield and profit.
