HSBC launches new expat 'crowdsourcing platform'
HSBC has launched a new “crowdsourcing website” that is aimed at expats who are looking for assistance with international relocation.
Plainly titled Expat Hints & Tips, the website allows international movers from all over the world to share their experiences of how life is in a foreign country.
The free service provides expats with an engaging, varied and in-depth bank of information, which they can easily filter by searching for their country of residence and theme – for example visas, finance, transport and lifestyle.
Dean Blackburn, head of HSBC Expat, said that this was an extremely constructive platform to engage with for international movers, one that would go a long way to making the experiencing of moving overseas a relative breeze.
“Considering a move abroad can be a daunting prospect, often involving a huge amount of research,” he said.
“By making the hints and tips highly interactive – and allowing the results to be tailored to each individual’s unique situation – we hope that expats will find this a useful resource that they will personally benefit from.”
