Cadogan Tate appointed “Official Transport Partner” of ‘An Evening at the River Café’ in aid of the NSPCC

At Cadogan Tate, every day we pack, move, ship, install and store precious household possessions, priceless fine art collections and monumental statues all around the globe, so it’s nice to be asked to get involved with something quite special right on our doorstep. We have just been appointed “The Official Transport Partner” of ‘An Evening at the River Café’ in aid of the NSPCC.
This sold out event is to take place on the evening of 8th June, at The River Cafe, one of London’s most enduringly popular and loved restaurants. The restaurant was opened in 1987 by Ruth Rogers and Rose Gray, specialising in Italian country cooking and has gone on to become a highlight in London’s gastronomic landscape.
The evening itself will consist of four courses of fabulous food, prepared by the next generation of super chefs. In attendance on the night will be Giorgio Locatelli, Angela Hartnett, Jason Atherton, Tom Aikens and Raymond Blanc, all members of London’s culinary cognoscente.  In amongst the chefs will be clutch of leading restaurateurs and food writers, adding to the focus on fine food and wine.
The purpose of the evening is to raise funds for the charity NSPCC and will be compéred by Giles Coren and Tom Parker Bowles. Jonny Gould will act as the master of the gavel for the live auction. The auction will feature ‘money can’t buy prizes’ including the opportunity to cook with Giorgio Locatelli, have Jason Atherton cook for you at your home and a luxury holiday in Bhutan. We will be assisting with the transportation and handing of three rather special pieces of artwork generously donated by acclaimed artists Anthony Gormley, Zaha Hadid and Marc Quinn.
With a guest list that reads like a ‘Who’s Who’ of London’s culinary establishment and the support of The River Café patrons, the evening’s success is assured. The money raised will contribute to the vital work carried out by the NSPCC, who work tirelessly in helping and protecting children with the aim of putting an end to child cruelty.
We are glad to be able to contribute our skills and expertise to the smooth running of the evening’s auction and hope that by the end of the night the auction exceeds its target.
It is bound to be a wonderful and memorable night.
